Houses & gardens

Sub-tropical gardens, with flowers, plants and shrubs from thousands of miles away, prosper and flourish here in the mild year round climate of West Cornwall and are made wonderful by generations of care and skill.

St. Ives and Carbis Bay have a record of winning prestigious awards for their floral decorations and have been regular winners in the 'Britain in Bloom' competition as well as the European Entente Florale.

The oasis of public gardens where visitors can stop and rest and find haven away from the traffic and the crowds are a delight.

Trewyn Gardens, with its annual bedding plants and shrubs is a lovely example in the very heart of St. Ives.

The town is bedecked with hanging baskets and containers, even wheelbarrows and small boats brimming with blooms.
